Guinness World Records is taking a deep dive into our record holders’ lives in brand new podcast What’s The Record?

Hosted by our very own Will Munford, we’ll be joined by a very special guest each week, who will tell us all about their record-breaking journey and perhaps even add a new record title to their collection.

You may recognize Will from his appearances on huge UK TV shows like Strictly Come Dancing and podcasts including Hanging Out with Ant & Dec.

But now, he’s swapping his Adjudicator uniform for a more casual look to sit down with our record holders for a cosy chat on the sofa.

In What’s The Record?, Will and his co-host (one of our many in-house experts) will delve right down into the history of their guest.

They’ll find out how their record-breaking feat first came about, how their life has changed since earning their title, and their plans for the future.

We may even have some famous faces stopping by our studio, situated within our London HQ, and even if they haven’t broken a record so far, they’ll have the chance to walk away with one and to be declared Officially Amazing!

The first episode of What’s The Record? is set to drop on Monday 11 May, and will be available to watch on YouTube and listen to on all major podcasting platforms.

In the inaugural offering, Will and Adjudicator Emma Salt are joined by makeup artist and social media influencer Holly Murray, who set the record for most rhinestones on the body with a whopping 74,880 when she appeared on our Italian TV show Lo Show dei Record last year.

Karen Gilchrist, VP, TV & Digital at GWR, said: “We are so excited to launch our new podcast and to share stories of our amazing record holders. It's an opportunity for audiences to get to know some of the people who work hard behind the scenes at Guinness World Records in a new and relaxed environment.

“Expect lots of laughter, unexpected revelations and the odd record attempt along the way. For many years I've wanted to lift the curtain on some of the people who make the magic happen here at Guinness World Records. I really hope audiences will be able to relate to the team and come up with lots of ideas for who we should interview next.”

Other upcoming guests include engineer James Whomsley, who has broken records such as largest RC model aircraft carrier (5.02 m; 16.46 ft) and fastest speed achieved by a RC jet powered car (152.50 km/h; 94.76 mph), Graham Hughes, who set the fastest time to visit all countries by public surface transport (4 years 31 days) and the most countries visited in one year by scheduled surface transport (133), and Hope Roberts, owner of the largest collection of Jellycat memorabilia (877 items).

See you on the sofa!
